Whole Animal

One flat fee covers the entire animal from drop-off to boxed, labeled beef.

Why Flat

How this compares to per-pound pricing

It's common to advertise a low kill fee and then charge by the hanging pound to cut and wrap. On a heavy carcass that back-end charge can rival the harvest fee itself, and you don't find out until the beef is already hanging.

Per-pound figures are a Texas USDA-inspected plant’s publicly posted rate card, effective March 2026, checked September 2026: $135 harvest, $1.40 per lb hanging weight, $750 minimum, $30 box fee, patties $1.50 per lb with a 25 lb minimum. Halves carry half the harvest fee and half the minimum; some plants add a split fee on top, which is not counted here. Vacuum sealing, disposal, and rail-weight charges vary by plant and are left out, so the per-pound total is a floor, not a ceiling.
